Sina Jenkins



Sina met and fell in love with the horses at SFFTR when she had her high school senior pictures taken here with some of our horses. She has been volunteering with us ever since and is now a show groom and our lead farm organizer.



Elaina Maze



Elaina grew up in Northern Ohio and began riding at the age of 7 with renowned Reining horse trainer Marcia Hignett. She rode, trained, and competed American Quarter Horses eventually working with NCHA judge Ron Frayley and NRHA Limited Non-Pro World Champion Tom Sumpter. She became involved with off-the-track Thoroughbreds and Eventing after meeting Angie & Gary through her previous job working at Virginia Tech's Marion duPont Scott Equine Medical Center. She also created and maintains our website.

The Thoroughbred Retirement Foundation



Founded in 1983, the Thoroughbred Retirement Foundation’s mission to save Thoroughbred horses no longer able to compete on the racetrack from possible neglect, abuse and slaughter.

The Marion duPont Scott Equine Medical Center is a premier, full-service equine hospital located in Leesburg, Virginia, offering advanced specialty care, 24-hour emergency treatment, and diagnostic services with specialists in internal medicine, reproduction, sports medicine and rehabilitation, and surgery.



A Home For Every Horse



A Home for Every Horse was created in 2011 to provide a resource for 501(c)(3) horse rescue organizations

to help connect rescue horses in need of homes, with people looking for horses. Rescue organizations can list their horses for free on Equine.com, the world’s largest horse marketplace, where they can be seen by 300,000 visitors each month.



Jockey Club Thoroughbred Incentive Program



The Jockey Club created the Thoroughbred Incentive Program to encourage the retraining of Thoroughbreds into other disciplines upon completion of careers in racing or breeding, T.I.P. offers incentives for competition horses, recreational horses, young riders and Thoroughbreds in a non-competitive second career as well as a Championship horse show.​



National Thoroughbred Association Aftercare Program



The 501 (c) (3) non-profit Thoroughbred Aftercare Alliance accredits, inspects and awards grants to approved aftercare organizations to retire, retrain and rehome Thoroughbreds using industry-wide funding.




Unwanted Horse Coalition



The Unwanted Horse Coalition is a broad alliance of equine organizations that have joined together under the American Horse Council to educate the horse industry about the problem of the unwanted horse. They provide information for existing and prospective owners, breeders, sellers, and horse organizations regarding the long-term responsibilities of owning and caring for horses, as well as focusing on the opportunities available for these horses.




Jockey Club



The Jockey Club is an organization dedicated to the improvement of Thoroughbred breeding and racing, and in the course of the ensuing 100-plus years it has earned widespread recognition as an industry leader for its active involvement in vital industry it vital industry issues as well as its proficiency as a technology solutions and information provider.



USEA - United States Eventing Association



The mission of the USEA is to advance the sport of eventing through education of riders, trainers, officials and organizers, with the health and well-being of the horse of paramount importance. The association strives to make the sport of eventing safe, fun, fair and affordable to all who join our ranks.

The USEA recognizes more than 250 events throughout the U.S. that host nearly 42,000 entries per year.

Animal Connections specializes in Equine and Canine Massage therapy and Photonic Light Therapy for the purpose of performance enhancement, rehabilitation, and maintenance. Regular bodywork leads to the continued health and well being of the animal.



American Horse Council



The American Horse Council is a non-profit corporation organized in 1969 to represent the horse industry in Washington before Congress and the federal regulatory agencies.






American Association of Equine Practioners



The American Association of Equine Practitioners (AAEP) was founded in 1954 and their mission is to improve the health and welfare of the horse, to further the professional development of its members, and to provide resources and leadership for the benefit of the equine industry.
